ASU libraries
Funny enough i am sitting in one of the ASU libraries to write this. Our libraries are a crucial part of our education. It is a place where students feel welcome, safe and gives us a place to get away from distractions and get work done. The Libraries offer us more than enough resources to help us along with school, from reference guides to Internet access and wifi students can use all of these tools freely. My favorite part of the ASU libraries are the quiet zones. It provides a quiet place to concentrate, get work done without noise or people talking and so forth. If you haven't used the library yet, you need to.
Global Engagement
Global engagement has strong ties to what i spoke about in my post on diversity. ASU highly promotes global engagement by offering an array of study abroad programs and student exchange. Also at ASU we have students from 141 different countries so you can start to be globally engaged without leaving your campus. Global engagement is good for many reasons. It promotes growth, generates new ideas and allows opportunity for those who maybe did not have the chance before. Global engagement is also currently the growing factor on the current quest of sustainability.
Global engagement produces growth is an understatement. Never in history have we seen the growth in technology and business like we have in the past two decades. All of this is due to global engagement. when the world works together as one global community. Business now are our sourcing and becoming more globalized. In business we can see global engagement all around us in the products we use and buy. We buys cars designed in Germany, made in the US and then sold in China. Production chains like this can be seen in almost all the products we buy.
Perhaps the most prevalent effect of global engagement is the solving of world problems. People and organizations are beginning to approach world problems such as hunger, famine and water scarcity. In the video running dry they stress how important and urgent the water crisis is in countries like India and China as well as the regions in the middle east. We must all come together as a global community and create solutions for these world problems.

Diversity
Diversity is something that is all around us, yet some people fail to either see it or recognize it. Here at ASU we are exposed to some many different people, from all 50 states and 141 countries to be exact. With numbers like those we should all be meeting someone new and interesting every day. Diversity is most definitely my favorite thing about our world today. You have the opportunity to see other cultures and customs everywhere you go. We are also so fortunate to live in a country that is so diversified. I personally have traveled to 10 different countries and exposed my self to other cultures first hard, but i must admit that some on the most diversified places are right here at home. That is the great thing about our diversified country, you can experience it first hand at your school or at you work, pretty much anywhere you go. Now that we know where diversity is (everywhere) we can learn how to use it to expand knowledge, make money, and improve social well being.
Throughout history knowledge have been spread through trade and teaching, this knowledge has been circulated from country to country because of diversity. As Delia Saenz states "diversity improves society". People Mixing together and exchanging ideas and beliefs, these are the reasons i believe we have progressed so much in the past few decades. Due to the accessibility of travel we have been able to come together for the betterment of all. Many world problems like hunger and sickness are starting to become better due to global involvement. The third thing diversity can bring us is the ability to expand business and make money in ways that were once not as common. Global business has tremendously increased in the past decade to due diversity and global engagement. I believe that diversity is the driving force behind our world today.

Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is not something that can be taught. It is a character trait that you must have. Entrepreneurship is that idea of seeing problems and finding ways to fix them and even create profit from them. What can be taught are the ideas and concepts behind the entrepreneurial spirit. Also you must learn to manage your ideas so that they stay organized. To me entrepreneurship is broken into three traits, creativeness, a strong work ethic, and the ability to see opportunity in bad situations. In the past few years a huge rise of entrepreneurial spirit has taken the world by storm. Now everyone is trying to be an entrepreneur. Those who make it make it big and those who don't sometimes still do alright. Entrepreneurship builds off your abilities and your interests so it is very easy to become addicted to your work. Though entrepreneurship is usually associated with business and profit there are many types of entrepreneurial spirit through art, politics, and non-profit companies that find solutions to our worlds problems for the betterment of society. Entrepreneurs in business create new products or improve the problems with already existing products. Also a big part of being an entrepreneurship is marketing your products or ideas. Putting yourself out there and taking risks.

Do you want success at ASU?
The Biggest thing about success is that one must want success more than anything. In order to be successful in whatever one does they must have the drive and the correct mindset to do so. We as individuals sometimes stray from our goals and in the end, not achieving them. Some of us do not reach the goal of going to college and others are not successful in even graduating high school. This usually happens because we do not do the certain things that create success. Some ideas that will help in being successful are being organized, planning for the future and setting small goals in order to reach larger ones, and being focused. These are what I believe and what the lessons on academic success have taught me to be true. To be organized takes a lot of patience and a lot of dedication, but it really does pay off. Having a planner or schedule book will help tremendously with home work and assignments. This isn't high school anymore and so we must keep track of our assignments and when there due. College is a lot more focused on the individual person and that person must be responsible for his or her work. Obviously life as a college student is rough and so things may come accidents family members or anything else that could happen, if you are well organized it will be much easier for you to adjust around problems that arise in your schedule. Also a key way to being successful in school or on life in general is to set goals and time lines for oneself. One should have different sets of goals, long term and short term. Long term goals are a very important because they give one motivation for the future and keep them wanting something more for them self in the future. Examples of long term goals are going to college, finishing college, getting the job one desires or anything else in the future that one wishes to accomplish someday. Short term goals are usually not exciting but probably more important. Short term goals are put in place in order to help one reach his or her long term ones. For example if ones long term goal it to finish college then their short term goals would probably be to pass certain classes with good grades are even set goals for their tests and assignments. Short term goals are the tools for achieving success in long term goals. The third important factor in being successfully is staying focused. One must stay focused on there goals and on their schoolwork. Success comes in many forms but is achieved through the same method of creating goals staying focused and being organized.

Academic Integrity
Academic Integrity is something that has been pushed into our brains since the 1st grade. As we get older and technology advances, we are introduced to a whole new game of "cheating". No longer do we write the words we cant spell on our desks in pencil before a test and then erase them after, we don't copy a bunch of T's and F's on our forearm and then wear a long sleeve shit. Now we see academic integrity associated with copy write and cheating over the Internet. Now a days you can buy research papers online and send you self text messages with the answers for your test. Though it may seem easy to Cheat it is most definitely not worth it, not only for the reason that now we are in college and to cheat is a waste of you money because your paying to learn but it can also be very detrimental to your future in school and work. Some of the consequences of cheating at ASU are that you may be receive an F grade on the assignment or class, you may be removed from the class, or at worst you may receive a grade of XE which will follow you for the rest of your academic and professional career. As said by Joe bunker in the academic integrity presentation "Integrity is what we do, what we say and what we say we do"
Integrity carries on to who we are, and it can be very self diminishing to cheat in school.
